About Mindy Utay
Mindy received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Pennsylvania, a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington Law School and an MSW from New York University School of Social Work. She received certification as a psychoanalyst by the National Institute for the Psychotherapies.
She honed her skills in conflict resolution as an attorney at the law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges, before becoming a licensed psychotherapist. She received training in couples counseling and divorce mediation at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Mindy is a writer and speaker on issues of relationships, parenting and work-life balance. She was interviewed on ClearChannel radio to discuss the effect of smartphones on the brain.
Mindy presented her workshop ” The Boomerang Generation” at the Manhattan JCC, for parents of millennials who are returning home after college. She was invited to participate in a panel discussion for parents of special needs children to address the issue of managing marital conflict when raising a special needs child.
